TRANSCENDENT SPACES -
THRESHOLD AND RITUAL

GAME SIMULATION - ACADEMIC PROJECT

This academic project explores the threshold as a symbol for creating deeper connections with our environment and each other. Through an interactive simulation built in Unity, I delved into the idea of "transcendent spaces"—environments that utilize dynamic relations to redefine the threshold experience. By clicking, the thresholds get added to the base and get rearranged with the movement of the aliens (blue strips of light). Their behaviour is determined by rules of congregation and separation.

3D ASSETS - THRESHOLDS

Traditionally, thresholds act as physical and symbolic boundaries between the sacred and profane. Moving in the duality of a sense of "place" fosters a sense of belonging. This project proposes a future where thresholds become dynamic and interactive, and places are naturally designed by the use and reuse of the space.  To create this simulation I used Unity, Disco Diffusion v5.1 (an AI modeling technique), and Rhino.  And then After effects for the animations. The goal is to create a compressed yet intense experience that alters a person's mind by interacting directly with the unknown
