This project explores the intersection of animation and real-time data manipulation. Utilizing advanced techniques in point cloud relations, voxel relations, and component relations. Blurring the line between art and technology and past and present (it’s a bust, after all) this exploration of a self portrait pushed the boundaries of my representation and conceptual skills transforming the way I thought. To create this captivating animation I used Processing for the 3D asset with coding, which at the same time had some texture information. Maya for the render environment and other materiality and After Effects for the final composition of the GIF. This was an eye opening project showing how coding principles can aid in innovating visual composition.
